Oscar, oh Oscar!
I would like to to start this entry with a quotation from Oscar Wilde:
'I can resist everything except temptation' and further: 'The only way to get rid of a temptation is yield to it'.
'Why this two?', you may ask.
Because I really like Oscar Wilde's works (especially 'The picture of Dorian Grey') AND I just read an article about the Vatican recognising him (as a gay) and more importantly his works (which were anything but friendly with religion and especially with Catholicism as he was a born Protestant).
Todays course was really terrific. We had a test in the first course (which lasts from 9 am till 11 am) and did a lot of talking about this and that in the second course (from 11:15 am till 1:15 pm). I really enjoyed it, mostly because this was the first day in this week I'm really feeling well rested.
Further I did quite well on my weekly test and the talking and exchanging different cultures was extraordinary (I'm in class with one Japanese boy, one Chinese girl and two South Korean girls).
Maybe I should note that today is the first day since my arrival that from time to time the sun is shining, which of course heightens my mood too.
So to sum up: beautiful weather, improvement of my English skills, interesting cultural exchanges, enough sleep, no sign of any illness (my hostmum is quite ill and I hope not to pick up her cough and cold).
Anyway, I'm quite crestfallen that there's no sign of life from any of you. No mails, no texts, no calls ....
Whatever, I won't die cos of this but everyone promised to get in touch with me as soon as I'm abroad.
So my invocation: contact me!! (I'm loney ....)
Well, now my mood is aground the deep, wide Irish Sea.
I'll better stop writing bollocks. We'll read eachother next week!
Good bye my dearest friends (who can't even get back to me!).
Yours diappointed,
Joanne.
I can see clearly now the rain is gone
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's going to be a bright, bright sunshiny day
I think I can make it now the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I've been praying for
It's gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day
Look all around there's nothing but blue skies
Look straight ahead nothing but blue skies
I can see clearly now the rain is gone
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's going to be a bright, bright sunshiny day
